Luxuriate in the soft, dreamy splendour of the Spring Summer 2022 collection by Bordelle.
'After a year of confinement we are reflective, dreaming of the future and the exciting pos-sibilities it brings. We have been inspired by the abstract concept of dreams and wishes, incorporating these themes into both our Dala and Selene collections. Each represents the contrast of Day and Night, Clouds and Stars.'
Selene, named after the Greek goddess of the moon, showcases an opulent embroidery inspired by Vincent Van Gogh’s Starry Night painting. The Plum colour-ways is embroidered onto sheer voile, displaying the intricate starry design directly onto the skin. The collection combines delicately feminine shapes and complex strapping with mesh bodywear and harness pieces perfect for layering.
This season we have also designed two new bespoke 24K gold plated components. The designs have been inspired by crescent moon shapes and astrolabes. An astrolabe is an ancient astronomical device once used as a handheld model of the universe. Luxurious and functional, the D-Ring component connects wide band elastic to narrow elastic strapping while the complex Moon component adorns the body like jewellery.
We have been inspired by the abstract concept of dreams and wishes, incorporating these themes into both our Dala and Selene collections. Each represents the contrast of Day and Night, Clouds and Stars. We introduce you to part two, Day : Dala.
Dala is taken from Amygdala, an area of the brain active when dreaming. The collection features an intricately embroidered satin applique inspired by quilting. The hand-drawn design depicts soft clouds in the sky, with cut out detailing on a sheer voile to create a unique scalloped edge that showcases the cloud design directly onto your skin.
Classic Black represents the dark night sky. Indulge in the divine beauty of Dala.
