Calculating your bra size
Measuring your underband
Start by holding the tip of a tape measure just under your right breast. Slowly wrap the tape measure around your chest. Make sure you hold it tight to your rib cage. If your under-bust measurement is an even number, add 4 inches. If it’s an odd number add 5 inches. This will give you your band measurement (32, 34, 36, etc).
Measuring your overbust
Start measuring from your nipple. This is usually the fullest part of your bust. When you measure around, make sure you stay close to the fullest part of your back as well. This will be your overbust measurement. The difference between the overbust measurement and your calculated overband measurement will indicate your cup size.
1″ smaller = AA cup
No difference = A cup
1″ larger = B cup
2″ larger = C cup
3″ larger = D cup
For example, if your under-bust measurement equals 27″, add 5″ due to it being an odd number. Your underband size would be a 32.
If your overbust measurement equals 34″, the difference is therefore 2″ between the underband and overbust measurements. This would mean that you are then a C cup, and the bra size you require would be 32C.
